How Long Will My Order Take?
The following timescales are approximate. Please contact us relating to your specific order.
- Standard Sized Glass Splashbacks (600x600) - Dispatched normaly within approximately 5 working days.
- Bespoke sizes - approximately upto 3weeks.
- Measure and Fit - approximately upto 4 weeks after an exact measure has been performed.
What type of glass do you use for your Glass Splashbacks?
We use 4mm,6mm or 10mm thick low iron, toughened glass with all edges polished. Only toughened glass is safe to be used as a splashback behind a hob or cooker.
How do i fix my Splashback to the wall?
We supply a free fixing option (silicone adhesive or drill holes accompanyed with suitable screws) with every glass splashback ordered. You can specify which fixing option you require on our order page.
Is your Glass Splashback safe to be used behind a kitchen hob?
Yes. We only use toughened glass for our splashbacks, which is safe to be used behind any electric or gas hob.
Who is I Want a Splashback?
I Want a Splashback are a company who are based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear who have been trading for over 10yrs. We are located approx 5 miles from Newcastle Airport and manufacture Coloured and Printed Glass Splashbacks for Kitchens and Bathrooms.
Why are your prices so low?
Here at I Want a Splashback we carry out all of our own Printing and Spraying of your splashback. We are not agents nor do we outsource any of our work. All work is carried out on our premises.
Can you cut shaped pieces?
Yes, Glass Splashbacks can be curved or shaped to accomodate cooker hoods or more less any place where the glass splashback needs to reside. We can shape the splashback any size wihin 3000mm x 1500mm. Most Kitchen hob areas can be done in one piece.
Can I have holes or cut-outs in my glass glass splashback for switches?
Yes, Glass Splashbacks can be cut in many ways to accomodate for sockets, drill holes or shaping for cooker hoods or sinks. The accuracy of thses is vital as we cut prior to the glass being toughened. Once your glass has been toughened no changes to the glass can be made.
Can I use my own image on a printed glass splashback?
Yes, we can print your own image directly onto the glass, however a high resolution image is required to ensure a good quality printIf you are unsure about the quality of your chosen image please contact us on 0191 3670067 and we will be happy to advise you.
Can I use my own colour?
Yes, when in the custom section of our website simply choose the custom colour option and in the area provided type the brand and name of the colour you wish us to match.
Will the colour or image that I have selected look the same as on my monitor or device?
In most cases the colour or image you have selected including any custom images or colours will look slightly different. Don't forget that images/colours on screen look different from having them on glass as contrast and brightness settings on monitors and devices will be different.
Is my Splashback made in the UK?
Yes? all of our splashbacks are manufactured in the United Kingdom.
Payment and Shipping?
Currently we do not take any payment online, however all of our manual/telephone payments are provided by WorldPay as we are able to support most major credit and debit cards using this method. All delivery/shipping prices quoted are for mainland UK only. For shipping outside the UK mainland please contact us.
What is your returns and refund policy?
On shipment arrival, please check for any visible signs of damage to the packaging before signing for your order. Any items damaged in transit should be noted at time of delivery and if possible delivery should be refused and returned to us. If the Glass Splashback arrives defective this should also be noted at time of delivery and returned via the courier. If the Glass Splashback does not fit we cannot issue a refund if the measurements match the measurements on your invoice, so please check your invoice prior to completing your order with us. Please ensure that you have thoroughly checked your order before signing for it. Once signed any claims made by you will be validated at our discretion and should be raised with us within 24hrs of receiving your shipment either through email or telephone call. Where you have asked us to leave an order in a safe place at either your work premises or with a friend or neighbour you do so at your own risk, we recommend that you have the friend or neighbour check the order on your behalf when received. Wherever possible, we reserve the right to repair any defects rather than remaking that particular piece of glass or issueing any form of compensation. Once the glass splashback is fitted we are unable to consider any claims for damage.
